The MetaSlavs team firmly believes that the project's most valuable asset is its community. We want to cherish every member to get rewarded for being active and engaged in all things concerning Metaslavia. Therefore, we are officially introducing our unique POAP initiative.
A Proof Of Attendance Protocol is a way to ensure anyone has attended an event or been to a place at a specific time. For example, Metaslavia has its community meetings on Thursday, so it made sense to encourage more people to join and participate. We do AMAs, chat, and play games. It is meant to be fun and, it usually is an enjoyable experience.
The POAP we give to attendants is an ERC-1155 token on the Polygon network. It means that a token will be minted by us and dispatched to community members that acquired it by participating in one of our events. Think about it as a coin or a medal of which you can have more than one in your wallets. The tokens are also NFTs themselves, so you can trade them on OpenSea or any marketplace that supports the Polygon network.
To view your badges, you need to sign in with your metamask account on OpenSea and check your current NFT collection. Since airdropping any NFT on the Polygon network is almost free, there is a big chance you’ll have to check the hidden tab and look for the badge. Somehow, OpenSea’s algorithm may mark our GGG badges as a scam (insulting). So you should see the badge and make sure you double-check if it is one of our official collection links [metaslav-poaps].
To interact with it, you have to add the polygon network to your metamask. It is straightforward to do so by going to https://chainlist.org/ and writing Polygon in the search bar. Then, connect your metamask and confirm. Once you have that, you can freely interact with the POAP token in OpenSea or any other marketplace that supports the Polygon network.
You may trade the token freely but bear in mind that it benefits its holders. We are starting a weekly raffle giveaway for holders that own at least one badge. The winner gets merch from our shop and will be revealed at the Thursday community meetings. We are also preparing discord roles and a perks system based on the number of poaps in the holders’ wallets. You need to verify yourself in the #collab-land channel to be eligible for these roles. You don’t have to verify twice if you’ve already done it, but make sure your Slavs and POAPS share the same wallet address.
